Normally I reboot both computer and modem together,then only can suft net again.But if you really download the patch file,you will still have slow internet surf speed.Because you are using BT download which maybe you are downloading 10 files together and it will be meaningless you download the patch.Bottomline,don't download more than 6 and more files together.If you really want to surf net while BT download,reduce to 3 files.I practice to use this since I was having the same problem with you and so far it still give me decent surf speed and less affect the BT download speed.
